Save the Date! Fashion’s Night Out will transform Georgetown into a Fashion Playground on Thursday, September 6, 2012!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for 2011 Fashion's Night Out. Despite unfavorable weather, we were thrilled with the turnout and appreciate all the shoppers that braved the rain to partake in all the FNO festivities going on throughout the neighborhood. 2012 promises to be bigger, better, and drier!

In 2011, Fashion's Night Out Georgetown featured exciting events at over 105 stores, restaurants and salons, and was presented by the Georgetown Business Improvement District, who, along with the 2011 Fashion’s Night Out Host Committee, was proud to bring this exciting global event to DC! From cocktails and music to trunk shows and exclusive style events, FNO Georgetown offered over 105 ways to shop, play and celebrate style! Couldn't make it? Check out some of what you missed here.

Around Georgetown on Fashion's Night Out

  • Shop for a cause - $10 signature Georgetown DC eco-friendly tote bag and $15 t-shirts were available at participating stores and BYT Lounge at Dean & DeLuca. 100% of proceeds benefited Labels for LoveLabels for Love is committed to raising funds and awareness for women's and children's organizations in the Washington, DC Capital Region as well as national and international areas in need.

  • Shop and Ride - Shoppers enjoyed free (and stylish) pedicab rides when they showed a receipt from any purchase from a participating Georgetown merchant during the exciting evening.

  • An FNO Georgetown Hot Air Balloon hovered high above the neighborhood, signaling that Georgetown was the place to be for the evening, while roaming dancers rocked the streets of Georgetown.

  • Attendees watched as 40 lucky couples competed for their dream wedding at the "Get Hitched in Georgetown" competition, one of the many highlights of Fashion's Night Out. Couples endured four rounds of competition including a bouquet toss, cupcake eating contest, bridal trivia, and a toilet paper dress fashion show. In the end, Kyosha Johnson and Deric Canty were selected as the winners by a panel of judges that included Kim Forrest of Washingtonian Bride & Groom, Andre Wells of Events by Andre Wells, Hitched owners Carin Rosenberg Levine and Julia Litchtman Kepniss, DailyCandy DC's Annie Lou Bayly Berman, owner of Lost Boys Kelly Muccio, and Janice Wallace of The Capitol Fashionista. The lucky couple went home with the ultimate Georgetown wedding package featuring a Sequoia reception, Lost Boys custom tuxedo, bridal gown from Hitched, beauty package from Salon ILO - and much more! Washingtonian's Bridal Party blog has a full recap here.

  • Fashionistas danced, sipped and refueled between fashion events at the swanky BYT Lounge at Dean & DeLuca ~ a comfy (and chic) place to rest weary feet. Brightest Young Things hosted this funky and fashionable lounge complete with wine tastings, "flower power" accessory making and an FNO photo shoot wall for glam photo ops. 6 -11 pm Dean & DeLuca 3267 M Street, NW.

  • Shoppers grabbed a Washington Post DC Scout "Scout Book" - the ultimate guide to Georgetown’s scouted boutiques - and visited DC Scout’s participating stores for special gifts with purchases and other exciting promotions.

  • The FotoDC FNO FotoBooth was busy snapping portraits and projecting onto the PNC Bank building. Click here to check out the chic and fashionable.
